[Zhang Zhe]: I got the title of Chinese Angel for African Children because of the charity performance for the orphanage in Botswana. We raised some goods in Beijing and brought them there. China-Dolls Center for Rare Disorders donated many pictures and paper cuttings of “China Dolls”, in hope of exchange and mutual support if there were people suffering “China Dolls” disease in Africa. 03/07/2014 10:55:25

[Zhang Zhe]: “China Dolls” is medically named as Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) or brittle bone disease or glassman. Its incidence rate is only one ten-thousandth, and there are about 100,000 patients in China. The symptom of this disease is frequent fractures. Tumble, collision, and even sneezing or kicking the quilt, in a serious case, will cause fracture. Consequently, when growing up, patients with this disease will have strange appearance and body shapes. They often suffer from discriminations from the society and their families. Most seriously, they will lose their work ability. Plus the medical cost, it’s very difficult for an ordinary family to support a patient with this disease. 03/07/2014 10:56:22

[Wang Hua]: Zhang Zhe has participated in so many voluntary services, serving the elderly, orphans and children suffering such rare disease. She left her love in Beijing and many other places in China, even in Africa and other regions in the world. Actually, besides those activities, she has also started a public-good project, known as Wedding Candy Factory, to help young single men and women establish a relationship. 03/07/2014 10:57:22
[Zhang Zhe]: Yes. I started this project mainly because I am single and know more about the needs of young friends. Now this project has become one of the major public-good activities of “Zhang Zhe Love Voluntary Service Team” in Beijing Customs District. 03/07/2014 10:57:27
[Zhang Zhe]: We not only introduce men and women to each other, but more importantly, provide guidance for them on the psychology of love. We have the special psychology consultant team for a series of special activities such as “Lecture on Love”, teaching the single friends how to communicate with others and to experience and observe the inner world of others, and to become understanding and a giving person. [Zhang Zhe]: We compare each single friend joining the activities as a sugar bean and all the volunteers as “sugar officers”. The role of “Wedding Candy Factory” is through the help of “sugar officers”, to match the “sugar beans” and turn them into a “candy”, to start their sweet journey and finally become a “wedding candy”.
