[Zhang Zhe]: The leaders in Beijing Customs District have attached much importance to the work, and we have carried out many activities since it was formed. For instance, the “Wedding Candy Factory” Project we just mentioned; “You are My Partner” Project, in which a volunteer customs officer acts as the growth companion for a child from migrant family and is required to write a letter to the child once every month, and we organize call-back activities periodically; Respect-and-Help-the-Elderly activities, in which we take customs officers to the nurse home and give shows such as magic, dance, music or calligraphy performance for the elders. [Zhang Zhe]: In 2013, the service team was awarded the only voluntary service demo station in the sector of Beijing Municipality Work Commission, and now we have some squads. [Zhang Zhe]: I work at the post of accounting and auditing in Financial Division, mainly examining and verifying whether each check and cash payment in Beijing Customs District complies with the financial provisions. This job requires for strict control in action and amiability in attitude. I have to explain to the concerned parties about the relevant policies and regulations patiently, so as to ensure there will be no mistakes. [Yang Jie]: There is danger. Our officers used to be bit and knocked down by passengers, and met with drug dealers who tried to break through the Customs. But they all were brought under control eventually. 03/07/2014 11:03:20
