Recently, under the control of Shantou Customs, the local company Rastar Group exported a batch of electric plastic toys and baby carriages to Cambodia for the first time after its resumption of business and production.

On the basis of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, China has reached the Free Trade Agreement with Cambodia, making the emerging market the focus of Shantou-foreign trade. According to Shantou Customs statistics, in the first half year, Shantou’s export-import value with Cambodia totaled 42.515 million yuan, up 25.4% year-on-year, including export value of 34.4 million yuan (up 23.2%) and import value 8.115 million yuan (up 35.2%).

Since the pandemic outbreak, Shantou Customs has been helping local toy enterprises with foreign trade problems. The Customs makes field surveys in the enterprises to understand their business transformation and upgrade, and it provides services online, including certification of origin, to ensure fast clearance of export toys without physical contact and without delay.
