In Nanjing Customs District, Lianyungang Customs Technical Center on July 2 made lab tests of a lot of mineral samples to screen for solid waste.

The port of Lianyungang often imports kinds of mineral products in bulk, along with increasing demands for identification of solid waste. In order to improve the clearance efficiency, Lianyungang Customs Technical Center has assigned a special workgroup to detect and identify solid waste attributes in mineral products. 

The Center’s laboratory has advanced detection techniques and equipment like X-ray diffractive spectrometer and has finished more than 600 cases of waste identification. Regarding the detection report mechanism, the lab has achieved paperless identification through information management system and reliable waste screening to effectively prevent illegal solid waste from import.
