Under the control of Wuhan Customs District, 12 tons of live sturgeons from Yichang, Hubei Province were recently delivered to Kazakhstan by road via Horgos Port, Xinjiang Region for the first time. 

To make the live fish export without delay, Wuhan Customs District contributed greatly to clearance collaboration between Yichang Customs House and Horgos Customs House (in Urumqi Customs District) by providing a “green lane” with the modes of “water-tank clearance” and “release beside lorries”, so as to ensure the sturgeons live and fresh. The exporter enjoyed customs’ help throughout the process from aquaculture, production, transport till export.  

In particular, Yichang Customs House actively monitored the fish quality by helping the businesses with aquaculture management, epidemic/disease control and safety risk control to meet relevant requirements of Kazakhstan; on the other hand, it intensified the in-transit control and expedited export clearance in cooperation with Horgos Customs; additionally, Yichang Customs tailored supporting measures for local aquaculture businesses to master foreign market situations, avoid trading risks and enhance competitive advantages.
