Customs officer inspects the serum in 5 sealed tubes.
On July 30, Jiuzhou Customs House (subordinate to Gongbei Customs District) intercepted a postal parcel from Britain that was declared as “Vitamin D” but appeared internally abnormal in the X-ray machine. By unpacking inspection, Customs officers found that inside the parcel were 5 sealed plastic tubes of yellow liquid, accompanied by a letter and an invoice that both indicated “blood serum”. This case marked this Customs’ first seizure of serum sample in the postal way this year.
Because the above serum evaded health quarantine procedures, the Customs has detained them for further investigation.
