On July 23, Dalian Customs seized 21.5 tons of import-banned solid waste at the port of Dayaowan, where customs officers inspected a batch of import goods declared as “calcinated nickel oxide”, finding suspicious bule-green powder in the packages and then, through laboratory test, the goods were identified to be nickel slag that’s prohibited from importation. Now, this case is under further investigation.
