General Administration of Customs Issues Announcements for Effectively Preventing and Controlling the Novel Coronavirus-Related Pneumonia

To implement the instructions of President Xi Jinping on prevention and control of the novel coronavirus-related pneumonia and the decisions by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) issued three Announcements on 24th and 25th January, 2020, namely, the Announcement on Prevention and Control of the Novel Coronavirus-Related Pneumonia (Announcement No.15 of 2020 of the GACC and the National Health Commission of China), the Announcement on Re-adopting the Health Declaration Form for Inbound and Outbound Travellers(GACC Announcement No.16 of 2020) and the Announcement on Customs Formalities for Importing Donated Supplies for Tackling the Novel Coronavirus-Related Pneumonia (GACC Announcement No.17 of 2020).


These Announcements specify stronger health quarantine actions at ports, re-adoption of the Health Declaration Form for inbound and outbound travellers, and fast clearance of foreign donated supplies for tackling the novel coronavirus-related pneumonia, all of which demonstrate China Customs’ determination to make utmost efforts to prevent and control spreading of the novel coronavirus-related pneumonia.
