Customs inspection of the inbound yacht for CIIE

On October 22, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port received a top luxury yacht “RIVA” to be shown during November 5-10 at the third China International Import Expo (CIIE). On the arrival of the Italian yacht, Shanghai Customs conducted fast clearance as per a special service program.

According to Waigaoqiao Port Customs House, they have early formulated CIIE exhibit clearance program on the basis of anti-epidemic measures, such as keeping in touch with the carriers to real-timely monitor logistics process; upholding CIIE information sharing mechanism with local wharfs and shipping companies; coordinating in the exhibit unloading and transit after entry to reduce logistic time and cost; providing prior services for both exhibits and exhibitors to enter the CIIE halls without delay.  

Additionally, the Customs House sets up a CIIE “green lane” with service volunteers to ensure around-the-clock clearance and maintains a special storage yard for the exhibits.  

By October 21, Shanghai Customs District has cleared 168 batches and nearly USD 10.85 million worth of inbound exhibits for the upcoming CIIE.
